FKM Containers Update

Post date: Dec 29, 2014 10:02:36 PM

Dear Friends,Season's greetings to all our benefactors, supporters and team members, wherever you may be in God's great kingdom! We hope you are well and enjoying a delightful and relaxing Christmas Day with your family and loved ones.

Since our last correspondence, we have successfully managed to fill the final two containers (please see attached) for 2014. The first container is already on its way to PNG - our first to this country - filled with much needed brand-new clothing, books, toys and furniture. The second is loaded with school furniture, tools and machinery, toys, books and brand-new clothing - this will be sent to Nauru to assist mainly in the set-up of three new classrooms currently being built. This takes our 2014 tally to six containers, the overall total to ten since our first in April 2013. None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our benefactors and donors:

Our sincere thanks go to all our supporters as well as countless individuals who have donated so generously to our appeals, not only through your donations but also by spreading the word. In fact, many parishes and schools have now developed a permanent awareness of our appeals, offering items throughout the year and assisting us in expanding our network. We often receive calls from people who hear about our appeals through family, friends and colleagues. This is a true indication of our tradition as a Catholic community, embodying a spirit of constant awareness and service to our brothers and sisters in need. Please continue your support.

Final thanks go to the members of the Friends of Kensington Monastery - a small team of dedicated and hard-working volunteers who work so hard behind the scenes to make this all possible.

On behalf of the MSC Mission Office and the Friends, we thank you again for all your support as we wish you and your loved ones a peaceful and joyous Christmas and a happy 2015.

Blessings in abundance,

Friends of Kensington Monastery

PS: Project administrators James (Philippines) and Sylvester MSC (PNG) joined us in December for the Mission Office Board Meeting. They were deeply appreciative of the support and generosity of the parishes and schools in Australia.
